The Customer Service Excellence Microcredential is a hands-on experience that equips tourism operators with the tools and strategies needed to deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences.

This microcredential draws from customer service techniques that have proven effective in the tourism industry, and provides frameworks to help participants better understand the customer’s point of view so that operators can ensure that each visitor feels valued.

Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with other tourism operators to address challenges and problem solve. Allowing operators to feel confident and knowledgeable when issues arise.

Through the Customer Service Excellence microcredential participants will learn how to:

  • Apply interpersonal communication skills to build connections that generate revenue.

By completing the Event Marketing microcredential tourism operators will acquire the tools and knowledge necessary to develop and execute an event marketing plan that meets their business needs.

Learn how to utilize customer data to apply a strategic lens to event marketing initiatives. By considering customer behaviour and marketing to key audiences, operators will be more successful in not only selling out events but converting event participants into loyal customers.

Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to review event marketing campaigns from other tourism operators and learn first hand what factors contributed to their success.
