Please note CBU’s International admissions application deadlines are as follows:
Application deadline for Spring/Summer Intake is February 15, 2021.
Application deadline for Fall Intake is June 15, 2021.
Application deadline for Winter (January 2022) Intake is October 15, 2021.
In order to achieve ongoing and greater diversity in the health professions and increase access to education, CBU is proud to offer an application deadline extension of March 26, 2021 for the BScN 2021 September intake program for Indigenous and African Nova Scotian applicants.
Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CBU’s January 2021 semester is completely online. For more information on CBU’s response to COVID-19, visit cbu.ca/covid19.
The deadline for receipt of applications to the BScN program is Thursday, February 20, 2020. Please review the program admission requirements and submit the online application. After completion of the online application, please ensure all required documentation is sent to nursing_admissions@cbu.ca.
Please Note: Students must write the CASPer test and have their results forwarded to Cape Breton University to be considered for admission. CASPer test must be written by the application deadline. Please visit https://takecasper.com/ for test dates.
Applications for CBU’s MEd in SCI program must be completed online, but need to be accompanied by the following items:

Have you previously attended any other postsecondary institutions? You may be eligible for transfer credit.
Note: Official supporting documents include transcripts, credentials, and proof of English Language Proficiency. CBU will now accept electronic scans of official documents, per CBU’s General Undergraduate Admission Requirements. CBU reserves the right to request an original document from the issuing institution. Once documents are submitted to CBU for admission purposes they will not be returned under any circumstances.

Please create a Future Student Account and submit the online application. When indicating the program you’re applying for, please choose “Visiting Status.”
Visiting students do not need to submit transcripts, but must provide a Letter of Permission from their home institution in order to register for courses. Letters of Permission can be sent to admissions@cbu.ca.

Cape Breton University’s Academic Calendar states that official and original transcripts and documents submitted to the institution, at the time of application, are not returned to the applicant. These documents become the property of the institution. All submitted documents are recorded and shredded to protect privacy and will not be returned.
