A Message from President & Vice-Chancellor, David C. Dingwall:

On October 26, 2018, the CBU Board of Governors approved the Strategic Plan, 2019-2024 for Cape Breton University. We now have a framework that will guide our decision-making over the next five years.

During the strategic planning process, we visited many communities across Cape Breton Island. CBU listened and gathered input, learned of challenges, and saw opportunities. The diversity of perspectives enhanced the process and the resulting plan, and I wish to extend many thanks all those who contributed along the way.

Our focus now shifts to executing the plan and living our values. To assist with this, an Implementation Support Team will support the President and University in implementing the strategic plan.

Collaboration will be critical to our success as we move forward with strategic purpose. I am certain we will work together on initiatives that will strengthen CBU and advance communities on Cape Breton Island.

Attached you will find a copy of our strategic plan. You can also visit www.cbu.ca/strategic-plan for more information.

Yours very truly,

David C. Dingwall
