Exciting Announcement!

On Thursday, November 18, the Cape Breton University Alumni and Alumni-owned Breton Brewing Company announced a partnership that will support student programs and scholarships at CBU, as well as celebrate the predecessor institutions that make up the CBU Alumni family with the launch of a CBU branded lager beer.

Wrapped in the Cape Breton University official tartan and outlining the institution’s history, the CBU lager beer will be sold at the Pit Lounge on the CBU campus and through Breton Brewing Tap Room. A portion of all sales of the CBU lager beer will support student programs and scholarships at Cape Breton University.

Cape Breton University’s number one priority is our students. We are dedicated to creating a safe and respectful campus for all members of the campus community. There has always been and will continue to be a focus on harm reduction and safe and responsible alcohol consumption. CBU offers extensive education and awareness programs, resources, and information on responsible consumption. Ultimately, this partnership with Breton Brewing company is targeted to Alumni, paying honor to the predecessor institutions of CBU and raising funds to support student programs and scholarships at CBU.

This product will be available at the Pit Lounge and lots more exciting details to come.
