Spiritual Wellness

CBU’s Chaplaincy Office exists to enhance the lives of all students, faculty and staff in an invitational and inclusive manner. The Chaplaincy provides spiritual direction, individual counselling and opportunities for friendship and advocacy. It is here to serve the CBU community and offer a lending ear, no matter what one’s individual beliefs may be.

Located on campus in CC 135, our Chaplaincy is multi-faith, meaning all members of the CBU community are welcome to stop by. Our vision is rooted in a belief in the holistic development of people, which includes spiritual, social, emotional and educational growth.

There are representatives from various faith backgrounds that offer appointments through the Chaplaincy. The Chaplaincy also hires several students each year to develop and delivery specific programs, including three annual retreats, a food bank, peer services, a tutorial outreach program and a care line for seniors.

Father Doug, CBU’s Chaplain, wants all students, faculty and staff to know that he is here for anyone who needs a friend on campus. To book an appointment, please contact Father Doug at doug_macdonald@cbu.ca.
