Future Physicians Campaign
A Transformational Vision for Rural Healthcare
CBU has launched the Future Physicians Campaign, a $1 million initiative dedicated to funding medical student scholarships. This support will help to lessen the financial burden on these students from Cape Breton and beyond who are empowered to study and stay in the region – improving retention and building a healthcare system grounded in community care. We invite you to participate in the campaign through a five-year pledge, with flexible giving options to suit your comfort and capacity. Every gift, no matter the amount, brings us closer to our goal.

FLEXIBLE GIVING OPTIONS
To make giving more accessible, we’ve outlined flexible pledge options below. Each gift can be fulfilled over a five-year period, with both annual and monthly payment plans available. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference and will be permanently recognized.
RECOGNITION AND GRATITUDE
Your generosity will be honoured in lasting and meaningful ways:
- Permanent Donor Plaque: A commemorative plaque will be installed in the Medical Sciences
Building, listing all contributors. - Donor Reception and Campus Tour: Donors will be invited to a private reception to meet the
inaugural medical class and attend the grand opening, where your generosity will be recognized. - Annual Report Features: Your contribution will be recognized in the CBU Annual Report to
Donors and through campaign communications. - Ongoing Digital Recognition: Your support will be featured on internal CBMC digital screens,
ensuring continuous recognition within the Medical Campus.
