Academic and Exam Support Officer

Cape Breton University (CBU) invites applications for the position of Academic and Exam Support Officer. This is a Full-Time Limited Term Position of Approximately 2 years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with building, updating, and maintaining all program degree audits as they relate to Academic Programs and Pathways under the CBU Academic Calendar. This position will be Aligned with CBU’s Strategic and Academic Plans and under the direction of the Assistant Registrar.

Responsible for coordinating the Exam Invigilance Process. This includes creating and updating a list of qualified invigilators that may be used throughout the year. Coordinating with the exam scheduling team to determine the proctoring schedule for each exam and invigilator.

Also responsible for supporting the revision and publication of the Academic Calendar and adjusting academic requirements according with the Degree Audit. Will also support exam coordination.

Some qualifications of this job include having a Baccalaureate degree and a minimum of five (5) years of acceptable related experience. Computer proficiency using all aspects of MS Office Suite, e.g. data processing, spreadsheets, electronic records, databases, and communication. Ability to learn updated and/or new software quickly. Familiarity with Colleague would be considered an asset.

The union affiliation of this position is with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 3131. Salary level is Band A10.
