The Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Electronics and Controls prepares students for a career at the intersection of electrical systems, automation and smart technologies. CBU’s instrumentation, electronics and controls courses combine theoretical principles with hands-on experience and technical expertise in electronics, instrumentation and microprocessor control, giving students the skills to time and control how technology is applied in dynamic settings.
Aspects unique to electrical technology are emphasized, including topics such as analog/digital design, industrial instrumentation, control and microelectronics. Students will develop a strong foundation in circuit design, instrumentation, embedded systems and industrial control. BET (Electronics & Controls) graduates are prepared for roles across utilities, industrial automation, electronics manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare technology, defence, energy and applied construction services.
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology degrees do not directly lead to a professional engineering designation.
Who Is This Program For?
The BET (Electronics & Controls) program is for students who enjoy electronics, systems and automation and are interested in how machines and processes are controlled. Students who like hands-on learning and are comfortable with math, physics and logical thinking will find this program to be a good fit.
