Honours BSc in Human Nutrition Transfer Option

The two year transfer program in Human Nutrition is offered under the Department of Health Studies at Cape Breton University. A number of students choose to begin their studies in this program at CBU and follow a clear set of course guidelines to meet all transfer requirements.

A degree in Human Nutrition opens doors to exciting career opportunities. Cape Breton University offers courses in Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Mathematics, Business, Humanities, Social Sciences and electives that will allow students to complete the first two years of an Honours degree in Human Nutrition at CBU. Students who maintain the minimum average of 55 per cent and a minimum average of 60 per cent in Nutrition courses will transfer and complete their Nutrition degree at St. Francis Xavier University. The students will enter StFX as third year students.

Admission Requirements

Five grade 12 academic or advanced courses including English; Math; two of Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Physics; one other academic or advanced course with an average of at least 60%. Pre-calculus Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology are recommended.
