CAPERS Receive AUS Basketball Major Awards

Six Cape Breton University student-athletes along with head coach Fabian MacKenzie are being honoured as Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Basketball Major Award Winners for the 2018-2019 season.
The awards, which were announced on Wednesday, February 27, honour the dedication and success of AUS Basketball athletes and coaches, and CBU is proud to celebrate the following award winners.
CAPERS forward, Hannah Brown, has been named AUS Most Valuable Player, in addition to her First Team All-Star award.
CAPERS guard, Paul Watson, has been named AUS Defensive Player of the Year, as well as Second Team All-Star.
Coach Fabian MacKenzie has been named Coach of the Year, which is no surprise to CBU student-athletes or CAPERS fans, who have seen his hard-work and talent displayed year after year.
Additional awards were presented to Osman Omar and Monique Calliste for First Team All-Stars, and Eugene Kanku and Ibrahim Gosseline-Diawara for All-Rookie Team.
