Join the CBU community on Saturday, October 5, at 9:30am at the Ness Timmons Soccer Field on the CBU campus for the Unblock the Clot run in support of Thrombosis awareness.
Following a November, 2022 injury and subsequent pulmonary embolism/pulmonary infarction diagnosis, former CAPERS Varsity Soccer athlete, Janelle Tierney, has made it her mission to share her story and raise awareness for the signs and symptoms of Thrombosis.
Through a partnership with the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, Unblock the Clot was born. There are two different sections for this event, a Kids Fun Run, with a minimum $5 donation entry fee and the 5KM Run, which has a minimum $20 donation entry fee.
If you would like to participate in this event, you must register and pay through this link. If you do not wish to attend the event but would like to donate to this cause, you can visit the same link and make a donation there.
