Cape Breton University will be hosting the DePOT Politics of Industrial Closure conference June 22-23, 2023, welcoming more than 100 visitors from Canada, United States, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Sweden.
The conference will focus primarily on the “how” and “why” of mine, mill and factory closings, the wider restructuring of the international division of labour, as well as the societal debates about the nature of economic change.
While registration is encouraged to help with conference organizing, community walk-ins are welcome and encouraged!
