Karen Bernard is a skilled facilitator with a knack for teaching others through a series of workshops. A peaked hat is a piece of regalia worn by Mi’kmaq women and is known for its nation’s distinct motifs, like double curves. Knowledge keepers and Elders state that Kini’skwe’j conveyed the status of a woman in her community.
