CBU Students’ Union Reunion

Join us for the CBU Students’ Union Reunion Weekend to celebrate 50+ years of Student Leaders at Cape Breton University and its predecessor institutions (Xavier Junior College, Xavier College, Nova Scotia Eastern Institute of Technology, College of Cape Breton and University College of Cape Breton) in celebration of CBU’s 50th Anniversary.

All individuals who were involved with the Students’ Union during their time at CBU and its predecessors, including Executives, Students’ Representative Council members, coordinators, support staff and volunteers, are invited to join us for a weekend filled with nostalgia, connections and celebrations.

The weekend includes:

• Friday, May 31
  • 5-7pm: Formal Reunion at CBU’s Pit Lounge.
  • Reunion Social to immediately follow.
• Saturday, June 1
  • 11am: “A Walk Down Memory Lane” with Steve Horne – Meet in CBU’s Great Hall.
  • Light Lunch at the Dr. Carl “Bucky” Buchanan Capers Hall of Fame to immediately follow.
  • 3:30pm: Reception at the special exhibit ‘Cape Breton University – 50 Years in the Making’ at the Old Sydney Society’s Sydney Museum.
  • 5pm: The Reunion’s Official “Cider Social” at Island Folk Cider House.
  • 7pm: [OPTIONAL] Honorary Degree Concert at the Savoy Theatre.

Registration for the reunion is $25.00+tx/ticket. All invited guests are welcome to bring along a “plus one” (Maximum 2 tickets). Click here to get tickets!
