Community Input Key to CBU Strategic Planning Process

Since launching a process for a strategic plan in early May, President & Vice-Chancellor David C. Dingwall has emphasized the importance of community participation to the success of the exercise. To achieve this, input from communities in all four counties on Cape Breton Island will be sought through a series of Community Conversationevents, beginning early next week. Those who are unable to attend can share their thoughts by emailing strategicplanning@cbu.ca.
“Cape Breton University is critical to the future prosperity of Cape Breton Island. If we are going to see change, we must work with various communities to understand needs and seize opportunities. Together we will advance Cape Breton Island, and CBU is a vehicle through which this can be achieved,” says President Dingwall.
Events will be held in Cape Breton County, Victoria County, Inverness County and Richmond County. Details for some communities are still being confirmed; please visit www.cbu.ca/strategic-planning for the full schedule.
