CBU Alumnus Keven Taylor Gives Back at Sydney Rotary Ribfest 2018

This weekend CBU Alumnus and owner of Island Sauce Company, Keven Taylor, will be setting up shop at the Sydney Rotary RibFest 2018 to dish out some delicious food and give back to the community. As a member of the Rotary Club, Rib Fest organizers, Keven has a natural connection to the event and was excited about  the opportunity to participate.
“Sydney Rotary RibFest provides great exposure for Island Sauce Company, and it’s an honour to be able to bring some local flavour to this great fundraising event,” says Keven.
Keven says the main goal of Island Sauce Company is to provide value and a sense of community to its customers, so they believe being a part of Sydney Rotary RibFest 2018 is a perfect fit. During the event, Keven will be selling BBQ beef tacos with corn salsa, along with hats and t-shirts. Island Sauce Company will be donating a portion of their proceeds from the festival to Caleb’s Courage and the  Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundations’ Cancer Patient Care Fund.
As a proud member of the CBU Alumni family, Keven knows he can count on the CBU community to support this amazing fundraising event. He is excited to catch up with all of the Capers who support his business, and wants everyone to stay tuned for exciting new announcements like the launch of Island Sauce Co.’s new Spicy Chipotle BBQ and their upcoming expansion into local grocery stores.
Thanks for representing CBU so well, Keven!
