Senior Facilities Project Manager

CBU invites applications for the Senior Facilities Project Manager. This is a full-time continuing role.

The successful candidate will  plan, coordinate, and manage assigned capital projects within Cape Breton University Campus.

Responiblies include but not limited to:

  • Participates in supporting functional design planning, specification writing, drawing review, cost estimation, and tender document coordination.
  • Responsible for communication of project updates both internally and externally.
  • Provide oversight of design consultants and contractors and interfacing with stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Management of infrastructure contracts as well as the contractors and consultants on these projects.
  • Working with the Construction Manager, designers, inspectors, and other key project stakeholders in resolving issues and roadblocks.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks including devising contingency plans to resolve changes.
