Operations Supervisor, Student Financial Accounts

CBU invites applications for the Operations Supervisor, Student Financial Accounts. This position is a Full-Time Continuing Role.

The successful candidate will be supervising a team of employees with a focus on communication and customer service. This position serves in a leadership role by supporting the student experience and ensuring the timely and accurate management of matters impacting student financial accounts. This may include, but not be limited to, scholarships and awards, bursaries, tuition charges, payments on account, student loans, and journal entries pertaining to student accounts.

The Operations Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of agent/agency commission payments pertaining to international student recruitment as well as overseeing the day operations of the team. They will also be responsible in ensuring effective communications with CBU departments on matters involving student accounts including, but not limited to, Student Affairs, Unama’ki College, the Deans, Registrar’s Office, and Athletics. And to ensure accuracy of client identification and in accordance with eligibility guidelines for access to information, provide timely responses to requests from stakeholders.

Some qualifications for this position are as listed:

  • A baccalaureate degree or diploma in business, including successful completion of accounting courses, is required.
  • A minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in a business environment is required, working with accounting and accounts management functions and/or student receivables in an academic environment.
  • A graduate degree would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in supervisory capacity preferably in an academic setting
  • Highly motivated, focused, and results-orientated with the ability to meet expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic customer-service oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm for CBU, initiative, and flexibility to do the work that needs to be done.
