The Department of Education in the School of Education and Health at CBU invites applications for a tenure-track position (Subject to Budget Approval) in School Health and Well-Being at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position will commence January 1, 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in wholeschool approaches to well-being, mindful of cultivating sustainability through collaborative community building practices. Their expertise will enable them to facilitate learning opportunities for educators who wish to employ innovative, holistic, and creative approaches to improve well-being for all involved in school communities. The candidate will bring a deep knowledge of culturally responsive approaches to building school communities and their research will be focused on engaging school communities to promote the same. Teaching may be in either undergraduate or graduate programs. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the following:
Candidates should have a relevant terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.). Candidates who are in the later stages of their doctorate may be considered with the successful completion of the doctorate being a condition of employment.
CBU teaches programs on campus, off campus in locations across and outside of Canada, and on-line. The university and its partners will therefore provide opportunities for faculty members to teach in different modes in different locations as part of their regular workload. While these opportunities may not be available equally for all faculty positions in all programs, a clear willingness to teach in different modes and locations will be noted as part of your application.
