About the Job
The Administrative Assistant – Community Engagement, CBMC will be working closely with the Student Affairs team and assist in promoting events, and fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for medical learners.
Duties:
- Assist in the delivery of wellness and community events (e.g., social gatherings, awareness campaigns, workshops)
- Support virtual and in-person events with setup, promotion, and follow-up
- Assist in building a sense of belonging and connection among medical learners by collaborating with CBU and CBMC to promote initiatives that enhance student life
- Help identify opportunities for outreach and engagement with broader university and community partners
- Assist in promotion of EDIA-focused programming and resources
- Help gathering feedback from students to inform future programming
- Assist with communications; including taking photos for social media
- Provide general administrative support to the Student Affairs team as needed
Qualifications
- This position is ideal for a Pre-Med or undergraduate student with a passion for student wellness, event planning, and inclusive community engagement
- All applicants must be enrolled full time and in good academic standing
- This role is not clinical and does not require medical training
Eligibility
Must be enrolled full time at Cape Breton University and in good academic standing. This is a part-time position.
