SUMMER EMPLOYMENT 2025: Parliamentary Guides Program

The Parliamentary Guide Program is currently recruiting students from Canadian universities to work on Parliament Hill during summer 2025.

About the job

Parliamentary guides work in both official languages and deliver tours of the Parliament of Canada to visitors, parliamentarians and dignitaries from around the world. They facilitate programming at Parliament: The Immersive Experience, and assist Parliamentarians, staff and the public.

Compensation

Guides are paid $24.18 per hour.

For guides travelling from outside the National Capital Region, the program will book and pay for their travel within Canada to and from Ottawa.

Guides are responsible for finding their own accommodation for the duration of the contract.

To apply, students must:

• Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
• Be considered a full-time student at a recognized Canadian university.
• Be available for full-time employment, including weekend availability, from 1 May 2025 through 1 September 2025.
• Be able to communicate fluently, verbally, in both English and French.
