Our Story

Founded in 1902, Cromarty Tennis Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting tennis in Sydney and the surrounding communities. For over a century, we have provided high-quality tennis lessons, clinics, tournaments, and recreational opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.

Our club proudly offers instruction led by Tennis Nova Scotia-certified coaches, with programs available for children starting at age 5 through to adults and seniors. Our experienced coaches are committed to fostering skill development, confidence, and a lifelong love of the game.

Cromarty Tennis Club offers:

Position Title: Club Coordinator

Position Description

The successful candidate must be returning to university in the Fall of 2026.

The Club Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for current members and prospective new members
  • Assisting with membership registration processes
  • Providing information about club programs, events, and services
  • Promoting club events and programming through social media platforms
  • Applying marketing strategies to increase membership and community engagement
  • Developing and coordinating fundraising initiatives
  • Maintaining the clubhouse to ensure it remains clean, safe, and welcoming
  • Supporting major events, including Tennis Nova Scotia clinics, the Cape Breton Open, and junior tournaments
  • Meeting regularly with the club executive to communicate updates, member concerns, and operational needs
