Rate of Pay: $18 – 20/hr depending on year of study

Position Summary
EverWind Fuels is embarking on a Clean Energy Project that will create Nova Scotia’s first green hydrogen production facility and unlock the potential of Nova Scotia’s green economy. In addition to the Point Tupper Clean Energy Project, EverWind operates the Point Tupper Terminal which has 7.5 million barrels of storage capacity and specializes in storage, blending and transshipping of petroleum and petrochemical products.
The Instrumentation Summer Student will work closely with our Maintenance team to execute preventative maintenance tasks, track preventative maintenance activities and assist with the implementation of our maintenance software (CMMS).
Major Accountabilities
- Assist with the implementation of the maintenance software (CMMS).
- Create PM schedules and enter data related to each asset.
- Design graphics using IN Touch – Wonderware software
- Assist with PLC programming and repairing/calibrating tank measuring devices such as transmitters and level detection using Radar technology.
- Conduct transmitter calibrations (Flow, Pressure, Temperature).
- Assist with PRV valve maintenance program
- Troubleshoot loading arm instrumentation (Electric over Hydraulic systems).
Education, Skills and Experience
- Enrolled in an Instrumentation / Electrical Technology program.
- Some experience with Maintenance Software (CMMS) is ideal.
- Some experience with Automation Engineering and designing graphics is ideal.
- Good time management skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently within their scope of knowledge
