About the Role:
We are currently seeking a responsible and hardworking Part-Time Rink Attendant to join our team at the Kehoe Forum. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all ice-related activities run safely and smoothly while delivering excellent customer service to all patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment for ice rentals, public skates, and special events
- Monitor on-ice activity to ensure safety rules and facility guidelines are followed
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the rink area, dressing rooms, washrooms, lobby, walking track, and spectator areas
- Shovel and chip thresholds of the ice surfaces as required between bookings
- Provide information and support to guests, teams, and event organizers
- Report any safety concerns, damages, or maintenance issues to the Manager
- Lock and unlock facility as required.
- Setup chairs and tables during events.
- Assist with event setup and tear down.
- Assist Full-Time Rink Attendants with daily duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a recreational or customer service role is an asset
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must be punctual, reliable, and capable of working independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic mechanical or janitorial knowledge is an asset
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
Working Conditions:
- Physical work involving standing, bending, lifting, and working in cold environments
- Shifts typically range from 4–8 hours, with flexible scheduling based on events and rentals
