PART-TIME Fall 2025: Box Office Staff

About the Role:

The Box Office Staff serves as the first point of contact for visitors, providing information, directing patrons, and handling customer inquiries or complaints. This role is responsible for processing payments from user groups and ensuring smooth front-desk operations. Shifts primarily align with public skating sessions, weekday prime-time rentals (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM), and weekend peak hours (8:00 AM – 9:00 PM) during the hockey season. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patrons with ticket sales, event information, and general inquiries.
  • Process payments for tickets, rentals, and other transactions.
  • Provide directions within the facility and offer customer support.
  • Address and redirect customer complaints or feedback as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
  • Work during public skating sessions, tournaments, and peak rental hours.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and presentable.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle cash, credit card transactions, and basic bookkeeping.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and event-based shifts.

Shift Hours: 4 hours to 8-hour shifts. Part time hours from 8 hours to 20 hours a week. Max 36 hours/week.
