Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and food service markets throughout Canada, the United States and around the world. We have an appetizer plant in Wheatley, ON, two state-of-the-art potato processing plants in PEI, one in Lethbridge, AB, and another in Jamestown, ND. Headquartered in Dieppe, NB, the company also has sales office locations in Toronto and Boston.
Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain Optimization, the summer student would receive an opportunity to get a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Cavendish Farms Supply Chain. This includes Planning, Logistics, Customer Service as well as Optimization.

• Mapping out Business Continuity processes
• Reviewing and updating process architecture to ensure compliance
• Updating Supply Chain Overview learning resources
• Supporting Supply Chain Planners, Specialists and Analysts with various tasks
• Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain through hands-on experience and interactions with practitioners
• Plant tour to see our manufacturing process in action
• Warehouse tour to see shipping, receiving and other warehouse processes
• Understanding of master data and data quality
• Learning of Procedure Flow process mapping software
• Problem-solving skills
