The Cape Breton University Board of Governors has established a new CBU Alumni Advisory Council, marking an important step in strengthening connections between the university and its more than 45,000 graduates worldwide.
Cape Breton University is transitioning from the CBU Alumni Association to a new Alumni Advisory Council. This volunteer council brings together alumni who are committed to supporting CBU’s mission and enhancing alumni engagement, recognition and advocacy and championing the overall goals of CBU. Reporting to the Board of Governors and working directly with the Alumni and Development Department, members provide insight and guidance on initiatives that foster meaningful, inclusive and lasting relationships with the university community.
As ambassadors for CBU, council members will help shape opportunities that support alumni, inspire current students and celebrate the impact of a CBU education.
The creation of the Alumni Advisory Council reflects CBU’s ongoing commitment to building a strong, connected alumni community and ensuring alumni voices continue to play an active role in the university’s future.
