In 2024, Cape Breton University will celebrate our 50th anniversary as an independent degree-granting post-secondary institution. This celebration includes the successes and achievements of all those who have come before us while looking to a bright and prosperous future.
From humble beginnings, the College of Cape Breton including Xavier College, Xavier Junior College, the Nova Scotia Eastern Institute of Technology and the University College of Cape Breton set the stage for the CBU we know and love today.
