Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRAs)
Interested in gaining hands-on research experience while completing your undergraduate degree? Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) provide opportunities for eligible students to work full-time on research under the supervision of a faculty researcher.
Awards are typically held for 14 to 16 weeks and provide $6,000 in federal funding, plus a required contribution from the host institution. USRAs are available through Canada’s three federal research funding agencies, with eligibility varying by research area.

Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Master’s (CGRS M)
Pursuing to planning to pursue a master’s degree? The Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Master’s (CGRS M) provides $27,000 for 12 months to eligible students pursuing research-focused graduate studies at Canadian universities.
Students can apply to up to three eligible Canadian institutions where they intend to pursue their graduate studies. Applications are open to eligible students across health, natural sciences and engineering, and social sciences and humanities.
