Message from the President: Donation to ServiCom Employees

To the University community,
Late last week, our community learned of the devasting job loss of more than 600 ServiCom employees.  A loss of this magnitude has a rippling effect that impacts the broader economic well-being of our community.
As a university that is deeply connected to its community, we will be donating $10,000 to support these workers and their families at this difficult time.  I know that many of you will also want to show support and help ease some of the burden that these people now face this holiday season.  In that spirit, we have also committed that CBU will match all donations made by CBU employees.
MGM & Associates, Chartered Professional Accounts, will accept the donations, which will be distributed and tax receipted by the Salvation Army.  Sonny MacDougall, CPA, CP, Partner, MGM & Associates and CBU alumnus, is assisting with accepting donations to be distributed to the employees of ServiCom.
Donations can be made by:

• Cash (dropped off at MGM )
• Cheque (made to MGM & Associates and mailed or dropped off at MGM)
• Credit cards (phone MGM directly at 902-567-6203. Note: MGM will absorb the credit card fees)
• Debit cards (onsite at MGM)
