Cape Breton University students, faculty and staff will experience a new paradigm in productivity and connectivity with the introduction of Office 365 – on any device, anywhere.
In collaboration with other universities and colleges in Nova Scotia, CBU has introduced this cloud-based platform to our campus!
We are excited to announce that Microsoft Office 365 is now available for all students at CBU. This new service will provide our students with access to Microsoft’s premium productivity software which will enable students to work and collaborate more efficiently. The Office 365 solution is free of charge for all students and faculty at CBU. Students will have full access to the Office 365 services while attending CBU.
After graduation, students will maintain access to email services but access to other Office 365 applications will end within a reasonable timeframe.
You can get access right now. To get started using Office 365 click here. Then log in using your CBU network ID which was emailed to you when your CBU account was created. Your CBU network login ID will now be using the @cbu.ca domain suffix. When logging into the Office 365 portal please use the username format of cbu15xyz@cbu.ca followed by your assigned password. From this portal you will have access to email, OneDrive, Skype for Business, all online versions of the Office 365 applications and a link to download and install Office Pro Plus 2016 on you PC or Mac computer. Mobile apps for your iPhone, iPad or Android device are also available from your app store.
