Award Description:
The Wanda Robson Awards were established to honour the legacy of Wanda Robson, a dedicated advocate for education and social justice. These awards recognize students who demonstrate perseverance, resilience, and a commitment to learning, reflecting Wanda’s lifelong passion for education and positive change.
Made possible through the generous support of the Jeannine Deveau Achievement Fund, this award is making a tangible difference for African Nova Scotian students at Cape Breton University.

8 In-Course Scholarships ($3,500 each):
Criteria:
Identify as African Nova Scotian.
Canadian citizen or permanent resident of African descent, residing in Nova Scotia, and attended high school in Nova Scotia.
Enrolled part-time or full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate program.
Minimum average of 70% in the most recent evaluations.
4 In-Course Awards ($3,500 each):
Criteria:
Identify as African Nova Scotian.
Canadian citizen or permanent resident of African descent, residing in Nova Scotia, and attended high school in Nova Scotia.
Entering part-time or full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate program.
These awards are allocated for students who may not meet the minimum 70% average but demonstrate:
Exceptional leadership qualities in the areas mentioned above.
Academic growth and progress.
Entrance Awards (7 Awards)
5 Scholarships ($1,500 each):
Criteria:
Identify as African Nova Scotian.
Canadian citizen or permanent resident of African descent, residing in Nova Scotia, and attending high school in Nova Scotia.
Minimum average of 70% in your most most recent high school evaluations.
2 Awards ($1,500 each):
Criteria:
Identify as African Nova Scotian.
Canadian citizen or permanent resident of African descent, residing in Nova Scotia, and attending high school in Nova Scotia.

Designated for students who may not meet the 70% minimum average but demonstrate:
