It’s your exams. Sure, you could choose to let them stress you out, bring you to the brink of exhaustion and ruin all of your fun. Or, you could decide to do something to help mitigate these feelings. Fret not, friends, for CBU has you covered with an extensive list of exam prep supports and services.
Academic Success Coaching
For starters, our Success Coaches are always available to assist through in-person and online appointments. Located in the Advising Centre, Success Coaches work with students on time management, goal setting and study skills, while offering a variety of additional resources. Virtual Study Resource on Moodle
Another useful resource is CBU’s free Moodle course, Academic Success Coaching. You can access and use this course content each semester to continue building on skills such as time management, note taking, study techniques and more. To access this resource, search Academic Success Coaching on Moodle and click “Enrol.”
The Jennifer Keeping Centre
The Jennifer Keeping Centre works to provide the necessary accessibility accommodations and supports for students with a medically documented disability. The Writing Centre
CBU’s Writing Centre offers free individual and small group appointments, virtually and in person. The Writing Centre is located in the CBU Library on the second level and helps students understand assignments, make writing plans, learn formatting and citation styles and more. You can book a virtual appointment online or book an in-person appointment by emailing writing_centre@cbu.ca.
The Math and Science Centre
CBU’s Math and Science Centre offers free tutoring services for current CBU students who require help in introductory-level math, science and business courses. The Centre can be found in the CBU Library on the second level. Drop-in and online tutoring is available Monday to Thursday from 9:00am-8:00pm and Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm. Need to know more?
