Rebecca Jones

Nursing Practice Educator

Rebecca is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nursing Practice Educator at CBU. She graduated with her BScN with an Advanced Major from CBU in 2014. She graduated from Athabasca University in 2020 with her Master of Nursing (MN) degree with a Teaching Focus. Her nursing background includes emergency nursing, gerontological nursing and forensic/sexual assault nursing. She holds an Emergency Nursing Program Certification through the Registered Nurses Professional Development Centre; completed the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Adult/Adolescent Curriculum Certification and works as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner with the Every Women’s Centre in Sydney. Rebecca is involved in several committees at CBU, including the International Nursing Experience Committee, Nursing Practice Committee, Nurse Practice Educator Committee, INE Service Learning Committee, and is Chair of the Forms Committee. Rebecca acts as Faculty Advisor for the CBU Nursing Society. She also sits on the Board of Directors at Transition House Cape Breton
