Administrative Assistant for STEMs Board Game Development

The board game aims to empower girls and young women, as well as underprivileged or marginalized students, and to encourage them to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers. Please demonstrate your potential passion for this project in your cover letter. This position includes creating additional board game content and interviewing others who could contribute diversity to the content.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with editing the current edition of the STEMs board game.
  • Liaise with faculty members and student representatives who can provide more diverse content into the game
  • Assist with converting those discussions into questions for the game.
  • Responsible for reaching out to faculty members who might be interested in using some some aspects of game development in their course designs, such as industrial engineering – a foldable playing board, mathematics – probability theory to figure out the distribution of values of cards, and engineering – 3D printing of iconic science game pieces).

Asset Skills: excellent personal communication skills, previous project management skills or equivalent experience, reviewing and editing skills, and creating an effective social media strategy for organizing events.
