Department Overview

The Enterprise Data, Analytics & Reporting Enablement (EDARE) team is responsible for helping bring the Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy to life through the development, deployment and ongoing management of data management, reporting, BI and analytics capabilities, along with supporting business processes and business administration. We are a diverse group of specialists who balance business acumen, business architecture, technology savvy, best-in-class delivery, and strong relationship management skills, while working closely with both business and technology partners. This team maps out required capabilities across the entire data & analytics spectrum, working across many segments and businesses to ensure our enterprise capabilities help enable better business outcomes through enhanced data-related capabilities. More specifically, the EDARE team is comprised of three key pillars, with mandate to collaborate, enable and evolve:

  • Operations (RTB) – The Operations service pillar is accountable for operations of ED&A applications / platforms used by LoBs & Segments and ensuring adherence to SLAs to enable efficient use of these applications / platforms
  • Change Delivery (CTB) – The Change Delivery pillar is accountable for ED&A CTB initiatives (programs/projects) and their successful detailed planning and delivery (on-time, within budget)
  • Product Ownership/Strategy – The Product pillar owns the full ED&A product stack (inclusive of Akora platform) and is accountable for product strategy, LoB adoption of ED&A products and alignment of LoB data solutions

About This Role
This role will be a part of the Product Ownership/Strategy team for TD’s Enterprise Data & Analytics Platforms and Capabilities. The role is an opportunity to get exposure to the different areas of analytics across the bank and exposure into the product roadmap planning process. The successful candidate will have the aptitude to work with our stakeholders (data and analytics teams across the bank) to understand their business requirements for data and analytics capabilities. This will give the candidate the opportunity to document business requirements, research industry trends in analytics such as Big Data, Real-time and Cloud and help to facilitate a requirement review process with the rest of the team. The successful candidate will help to filter\\categorize the requirements and help document them into a format that’s easily presentable to our leaders and stakeholders. 
The candidate is empowered with their eagerness to learn about industry trends and tools for analytics, keen organizational skills, great communication to work effectively with our stakeholders and an eye for business process improvement to help our team run more efficiently.
Key accountabilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing our teams’ knowledge and business requirement repositories using tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Researching vendor tools\\capabilities and speaking with stakeholders to understand their needs for data capabilities such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, BI & Reporting, Cloud technologies, Real-time analytics, etc.
  • Organizing and facilitating team scrum meetings
  • Improving processes and tools used within the team to better manage stakeholder engagements and research of new capability asks

The successful applicant will have practical exposure and understanding of a broad spectrum of data, analytics and reporting uses and an eagerness to learn.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in consulting or exposure to product strategy
  • Exposure to analytic tools for BI and Advanced Analytics like Tableau, R, Python, PowerBI, SAS, Spark, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills – Ability to communicate concepts clearly to both business and technology teams
  • Great organizational skills to provide thoughtful leadership on how to review and manage the product backlog of requirements
  • Exposure to tools like Jira and Confluence for knowledge management is a plus
  • Experience with Big Data tools for analytics is a plus
  • Exposure to Cloud Technologies is a plus
  • Superior relationship management skills – ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to identify solutions, resolve problems quickly and create bridges between groups
  • Bring a strong willingness to be learn and adapt to evolving tools and technologies in keeping with industry trends
  • A team player who shares their knowledge and supports the Enterprise success
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and work with minimal supervision
