Job Description

What you’ll be doing

When you join the Client Strategy, Global Investment Banking team as an Analyst Co-Op for an 8 Month term, you will be making a real difference for our global CIBC Capital Markets clients, our team and our community. You will be using your strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist our team with a number of different projects and priorities in Marketing, Sponsorship and Events.

As a Client Strategy Analyst, you will have an opportunity to assist the team with analyzing and researching the competitive landscape.  You’ll be managing various client focused databases and helping to coordinate our marketing collateral for our various lines of businesses and client communications. In addition, you’ll be able to help with executing sponsorships for Capital Markets which will allow you to grow your community network.

  • We are only considering those available for an 8 month work term, beginning May 2022

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field.

  • Research and Analytics – You will provide a broad range of analytical, research and presentation preparation support to the team.

  • Project Management – You’ll be assigned to a variety of one-off projects and responsible for a series of daily, weekly and monthly tasks that you will be expected to manage — strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities are a necessity

  • Relationship Management – You’ll gain exposure to working with individuals from various groups across the firm and our team approach to executing on projects is designed to provide progressive on the job training.

  • Communications – Your communication skills are excellent, in both written and verbal form.  You are able to distill complex information to simple and concise messaging for audiences of all levels can understand.
