SUMMER EMPLOYMENT-WORK STUDY: Communication Assistant, Psychology Department

Job Title:  Psychology Department Communication Assistant

15 hours/week for 8 weeks

Job Description/Duties:

  • Use Psychology Department social media to get in touch with our graduates in order to request updates on their current graduate studies and careers. Use this info to update the “Where are they now?” section of the department website.
  • Assist Psychology professors to create and then edit short videos that will be used as guest lecture spots in Intro Psycology courses when faculty research interests align with course content, using programs, such as Vimeo.
  • Assist with planning for an international conference on second language learning.

  • An understanding of the bigger picture
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills, including website editing
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and a computer
  • Experience & competence with video production (using a resource such as Vimeo)

Must be a full time student in good academic standing.
