Program Co-Ordinator-Recreation, Sport & Active Transportation
Duties
• Recreation sport and active transportation program development
• Sport, recreation, sport and active transportation leadership leadership
• Development and promotion of recreation sport and active transportation opportunities
• Administrative duties
• Data entry, analysis and evaluation
• Equipment monitoring, set up, repair and maintenance
• Writing and document preparation
Qualifications
- Applicants should be a current CBU student with experience in sport and physical activity, preferably Track and Field. Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in a sport or physical activity related program or graduates of such programs.
- Applicants should hold a current Nova Drivers license and have access to a vehicle
- Applicants should have previous and current knowledge of the Cape Breton and Nova Scotia sports environments
- Applicants should have good computer skill including the use of word, excel, PowerPoint and graphics programs
- Applicants should have a good working knowledge and experience in social media.
- Applicants should have coaching, public speaking and promotional experience.
Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility:
To be eligible, youth must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period ;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
