Formed in 2012, Juniper Organics Limited produces professional peat and mixes for retail markets as well as growing media and mixes for professional growers of horticultural and agricultural products. Like so many of our customers, our team in Juniper, NB is growing, and we are seeking a Student Quality Control Technician to join our team.

We are seeking motivated candidates to fill the position of Student Quality Control Technician at the Juniper Organics Plant in Juniper, New Brunswick for the Summer of 2022.

The Student Quality Control Technician will report to the Site Quality Control Technician and the leadership team. This position will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the raw peat moss at the site during the summer months.

Responsibilities Include:

• Working closely with the Quality Control Technician to measure and manage pile temperatures
• Collecting product samples and performing quality control audits
• Ensuring accurate documentation and data entry
• Calibrating the equipment used in the quality control process
• Participating in 5S and lean management training and processes
• Helping with employee training regarding quality and good manufacturing practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Must currently be a student or enrolled in a student program for September 2022
• Previous experience in a lab and production setting is considered an asset
• Be able to work as a part of a small team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
