RST Industries is currently seeking a  Fleet Coordinator Student to be based in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote safe work behaviours by drivers and support safety initiatives throughout Operations;
  • Promote safe work behaviours by drivers and support safety initiatives throughout Operations;
  • Coordinate, confirm, and dispatch all loads;
  • Provide customer support to all areas of service;
  • Manage overall productivity of fleet; ensure adequate level of miles and revenue are generated by each driver while adhering to strict Hours of Service regulations;
  • Coordinate availability of drivers and equipment to exceed customer expectations by maximizing asset utilization and cost savings opportunities;
  • Professionally resolve all issues raised by drivers;
  • Ensure fleet maintenance program is complied with by drivers

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in BBA or Bachelor of Engineering (concentration in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Marketing considered an asset)
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Positive academic standing
  • Superior oral and written communication; bilingualism (French) considered an asset;
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience using ERP considered an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills;
  • Must be team-oriented and an independent self-starter.
