As an Accountant, Cloud Accounting Services your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform full cycle accounting services utilizing cloud applications such as QBO or Xero;
  • Assist with completion of payroll functions
  • Prepare basic T4 returns
  • Prepare month end close procedures including reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards and ensuring transactions are properly journalized
  • Assist with government filings such as sales tax returns and payroll filings
  • Prepare monthly and/or quarterly financial reports and management reports
  • Collaborate with clients on a regular basis and assist them with day to day accounting inquires
  • Communicate issues to manager and collaborate on resolutions

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • A passion for technology and innovative thinking
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor and/or Xero certification preferred
  • Ability to create macros and/or VB scripts in Microsoft Excel an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Associates degree in business/accounting or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes
