The ProgramLocated in either BC or Northern Alberta and working either from a local WJS Canada program office (if available) or a hybrid work arrangement.Reports to the Director, Talent Development, Training Division (Barry Foo).This position will require travel to WJS program offices throughout BC, Alberta & Ontario for staff training sessions and flexible hours to support delivery of workshops which may exceed the typical workday.

The PositionLooking for an energetic trainer/facilitator to educate, inspire, and provide highly interactive training sessions.As in-house organizational Staff Training Specialist, you’ll design and facilitate training and talent development programs for our staff in Mandt, NVCI, ASIST Suicide Prevention, First Aid/CPR and Mental Health First Aid.

In Your Role You Will• Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and classes using in-class, e-learning, virtual and/or blended instructional techniques.• Create a safe, respectful learning environment conducive to learning• Facilitate group learning activities and provide individual learner support• Apply creativity to training delivery, classroom management, and problem-solving• Develop and deliver supplementary materials to complement company-specific curriculum, course outlines, facilitator and participant guides, exercise guides, job aids, show-me videos, and site content • Evaluate, review and update training curriculum and delivery to ensure it reflects current best practices• Evaluate student progress through grading and reporting• Support key learning initiatives, including project reporting and timely identification of project issues, risks, and challenges.COVID-19: Please be aware that governments and/or funders within our service sectors are mandating services be provided by employees that are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. As An Ideal Candidate You Possess• 3+ years experience as an Adult Educator, Group Facilitator or Trainer • Degree in Education, Adult Education, Teaching, Nurse Educator or Social Work, Psychology, Disability Studies, Behavioural Science, Special Needs or related field. • Will consider Professional Instructors Diploma; Diploma/Certificate in Adult Education; Comparable combination of post-secondary education and experience• Valid class 5 driver license with a clear driving abstract and reliable vehicle.• Knowledge of emerging trends in Adult & Accelerated Learning, e-learning design principles, program evaluation methods, reporting on learning outcomes and experience using learning management systems to develop and deliver training content would be an asset.• One or more of the following: Mandt Train the Trainer Advanced Certification; NVCI Instructor certification; First Aid and CPR Certified Instructor is an asset.• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.• Calm, confident, patient• Self motivates and motivates others and is a positive role model.
