Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 6:00PM (every second Saturday required)

Salary: First 6-months guaranteed annual salary of $52,500. After 6-months annual salary of $47,500 plus 15% commission of new and used vehicles. Typical year 1 annual salary in the range of $65,000 – $90,000.

As the Sales Consultant, you are the dealership’s front-end specialist in the sales cycle. Your reliable communication skills and ability to easily build relationships, with the help of your brand and product expertise, will enable you to help customers make the most informed buying decision by effectively demonstrating the product and answering any customer inquiries.

This role also presents an opportunity to support the Business Managers of the Colbourne Auto Group when operational requirements arise to assist with the completion of vehicle contracts, vehicle applications and paperwork, the selling of vehicle warranties, and more! With this comes the opportunity for greater compensation and the ability to advance within the Colbourne Auto Group.

Core Accountabilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service as the front-end specialist in the sales cycle, to help customers make the most informed buying choice possible. This includes welcoming and assisting guests, building rapport and gathering information to most effectively direct the customer and any inquiries as appropriate.

• Become a brand and product line expert to effectively demonstrate the product, including test drives.

• Maintain brand and product knowledge through training from Colbourne Chrysler and Chrysler Canada.

• Use the customer database to make sales appointments.

• Use personal networks and business resources to prospect for new customers.

• Develop strategies to maximize sales through marketing support with both Colbourne Chrysler and Chrysler Canada.

• Assist the Business Manager where needed.

• Other duties as assigned.


• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience in a sales environment is required.

• Minimum of two (2) years experience within a retail environment is required.

• Experience working in the automotive sector is considered an asset.

• Previous experience or knowledge of contract management is considered an asset.

• Excellent technical skills, including the ability to learn all aspects of the product line of the dealership, including product makes, models, technologies, etc.

• Exceptional forward facing customer service skills with the ability to easily build relationships.

• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

• Exceptional communication and conversational skills.

• High level of professionalism when dealing with diverse groups of people.

• Excellent attention to detail skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.

• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.

• Valid drivers license with reliable transportation and clean drivers abstract.
