Background:
LearnCorp International (LCI) is a leader in the provision of Training Solutions for the energy sector. Over the past 20 years, LCI has been involved in the development and delivery of training for the Operations and Maintenance Teams of the world’s largest oil, gas and LNG projects. Training activities may take place at our location in Sydney, Nova Scotia or may require local or international travel for delivery of training at the client’s location. The development and delivery of technical training requires a strong understanding of science and engineering topics and a working knowledge of oil, gas and LNG processes. With Safety as the foundation, our Contract Technical Trainers are responsible for creating an engaging and positive training environment for the learners. LCI prides itself in the delivery of innovative training solutions for today’s demanding industry.

Qualifications:
A Contract Technical Trainer will work collaboratively with the LCI Team to prepare or deliver specialty topics within training programs.
We are looking for a highly motivated technical person to work with our team. Our ideal candidate will have a combination of technical education (in science, technology or engineering) and experience working with electrical, instrumentation, mechanical or process equipment in oil, gas or LNG Operations. You must be able to communicate effectively and possess excellent writing and editing skills. This position requires flexibility in schedule and work location, and you must be able to work within specific schedules with deadlines. You will contribute to the LCI Team and work efficiently and effectively on multiple projects while maintaining a focus on the importance of Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment.
Previous experience in training of Operations and Maintenance personnel is considered an asset. We conduct projects across many continents and interact with people of many cultures. Our Contract Technical Trainers create and encourage a positive learning environment that is safe, inclusive and challenging. International travel may be required for this position.
This position requires the person to deal with confidential information and may require work at the client’s worksite. The candidate must agree to the Confidentiality and Drug and Alcohol requirements for each project.
