What you’ll be doing

As an Associate in the Technology Graduate Rotational Program (TGRP), you will be part of a full-time, fast-paced 24-month rotation program within Technology. You’ll have the opportunity to move through three 8-month rotations that will offer you the chance to hone your technical, communication and interpersonal skills while developing your knowledge of CIBC’s dynamic Technology line of businesses.

 

As a TGRP Associate, you will join CIBC with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience through your rotations which will be in one of the following lines of business:

  • Capital Markets, International, Commercial & Wealth Management Technology
  • Corporate Centre Technology
  • Enterprise Security & Risk Services
  • Personal and Business Banking Technology
  • Technology Operations

 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

 

Important information

  • You have graduated in the last year or are expected to graduate in 2024 from a post-secondary institution.
  • You have previous co-op experience with CIBC in the last year.
  • Degree or Advanced Degree in Computer Science/ Technology will be an asset to have.
  • Work Location: Toronto. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada.  All CIBC TGRP positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.

How you’ll succeed

  • Development – Developing, deploying and supporting business applications and utilities.
  • Business Analysis – Formulate solution scope and objectives to meet the business need and validate requirements, testing, training and implementation of applications.
  • Test Analysis – Develop and execute test plans for functional system integration and acceptance testing.
  • Project Management – Ensure project control procedures and policies within a number of unrelated large projects are executed.
  • Continuous Improvement – Designing and implementing improvements to internal processes making it easier for teams to do their work.
  • Reporting, Analytics and Research – Analyzing business opportunities and presenting recommendations to address through analysis, reporting and research.

Who you are

  • You are inspired. You’re motivated by the changing landscape of technology to learn more about technology and use your previous skills to improve experience for CIBC clients.
  • You have technical experience. You can demonstrate technical skills such as Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Payments, Digital and/or Process Engineering and can understand software life-cycles (agile) and are proficient in MS-office suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • You are passionate about people. You enjoy collaborating with a team to come up with innovative solutions to a problem that will make a difference today and tomorrow and are able to establish partnerships across teams to get your work done.
