Job Description

  • What will you do?
  • Assist in the data collection, storage, processing and visualization of multiple data sources.
  • Focus on efficiency improvement for reporting processes through the use of MS Excel Power Pivot, MS Power Query and MS Access.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and generating dashboard reports for end user teams
  • Forge relationships and maintain on-going communication with RBC GAM distribution channel teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Identifies, tracks and resolves reporting issues in a timely manner, escalating as required for resolution.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have

  • Analytical thinker along with appropriate attention to detail
  • High competency in Python, SQL , MS Office, particularly Excel (Power Pivot and Power Query) and Access
  • Working knowledge for data management, analysis
  • Enrollment in Co-operative Program in a Post-Secondary Institution
  • Knowledge of investment industry and willingness to learn Mutual Fund and ETF business.
  • Able to adapt quickly and function independently in an unstructured environment
  • An innovative self-starter, who works well under time/deadline pressures

Job Summary

 

As a Business Data Analyst Co-op student in Global Asset Management (GAM) you will assist in data management initiatives as well as assist in reporting on performance measures for various distribution channels of mutual funds and other investment products. This co-op term will be 4 months.
