Shannex has an opportunity for Temporary Support Workers. These are short term positions
working under our Care at Home division. As a Temporary Support Worker, you will be responsible
for a number of tasks that are aimed primarily at keeping our staff and residents safe and
comfortable. These roles will be based out our campuses throughout Sydney, Antigonish and the HRM.

Who You Are…
As the successful candidate, you must be able to work shifts that will be assigned to you,
(days/evenings/weekends) and have some previous work experience that is client focused, safety
minded and covers a broad skillset. You are an adaptable and friendly individual who is eager to
provide assistance where necessary. Preference will be given to candidates who have a post-secondary education, have valid CPR/First Aid training, Food Handlers Certification and/or
experience working in a healthcare environment. This is a great opportunity to do work that matters

Our Expectations of You May Include…
• Measuring and recording temperatures of individuals
• Promoting and enforcing social distancing protocols
• Monitoring points of entry
• Delivering meals and beverages to residents
• Assisting residents with eating under the direction of nursing staff
• Supplementing and assisting the cleaning of high contact surfaces
• Transporting linens to laundry using safety protocols
• Performing light housekeeping duties for residents
• Providing assistance to residents with daily activities and other tasks such as using
technology
