Your Focus:

  • Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures which include how data is collected, stored arranged, integrated, and used in data systems/organizations
  • Enable big data solutions to organize, shape and provide access to end data, delivering intelligence to key operational and business processes
  • Ensure that data pipelines and data stores are high-performing, automated, secure, efficient, organized and reliable, given a specific set of business requirements and constraints
  • Implement standard data set processes (e.g., how is data to be properly blended, cleaned, visualized, and modeled)
  • Assist in creating a data catalog and data dictionary that explains data in both technical and business terms
  • Publish artifacts for warehousing and business insight / reporting platforms while assisting stakeholders through exploration
  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality (e.g., data quality dashboards)

 

You have:

  • Experience with designing, developing, and implementing Enterprise Data Warehousing, ETL and real-time / batch data exchanges and working with related technologies such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory
  • Expertise and experience in Cognos Tools; Framework, Report Studio – Dashboards, Powerplay, Adaptive Application Framework, Transformer tool, Data Modeling
  • Good understanding of extract, transform and load (ETL) tools and REST-orientated APIs for creating and managing data integration jobs to provide Data Analytics and business users with simplified access to prepared data sets
  • Familiarity with developing data models for data warehousing purposes
  • Ability to deal with structured and semi-structured data, with knowledge of RDBMS and Data Lake concepts with hands on experience in SQL Server, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Lake
  • Communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for our business stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
  • Experience working with a variety of data architectures
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering impactful results
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent quantitative science

Extras:

  • Experience deploying ETL solutions with Microsoft Azure
  • Azure IoT experience
  • Azure  DP-200, 201, or 203 certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud environment with data related services (AWS or GCP experience is also considered an asset)
