In this position, you will be given the opportunity to have a wide variety of responsibilities which may include:

  • Coordination and logistics for a two and one-half day employee orientation program (Welcome to Imperial)
  • Assisting with learning administration and logistics as related to global learning and development programs offered by the corporation
  • Assisting with projects supporting the execution of corporate human resource processes which may include learning, performance management, recruitment and diversity

Position is located at our new Quarry Park Campus in Calgary, AB.

Qualifications Academic:

  • 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year HR student from a: Business, Commerce or MBA degree program, or Post-graduate program with a specialization in human resources / industrial relations
  • To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application


  • Previous exposure to working as part of an HR team and/or experience in an office environment is an asset
  • Standard skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required and experience using SAP is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently as well as with teams
  • Effective project and change management skills
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and propose solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively, think analytically, and demonstrate strong communications skills
