Job Overview

As the Executive Assistant, you will work directly with the CEO assisting him with his work related to financing and building major eco-friendly manufacturing plants in the US and Canada. This role includes international travel and correspondence with government and high profile leaders.

There is a very strong potential for rapid advancement as Yava expands with new plants and new technologies as forecasted. The EA would have the opportunity to be promoted to Junior Business Development Executive (JBA) organizing and overseeing the financing and development of new plants and/or new technologies, joint ventures, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Travel to business meetings in the US, Canada, Europe or elsewhere with the President.
  • Meet, correspond and collaborate with government and high profile leaders.
  • Graciously facilitate, carefully document, and diligently follow up on action items on various calls and meetings.
  • Meet with the President daily to discuss plans and complete follow-up work required.
  • Manage executive calendar and travel with an eye toward learning how to prioritize based on business priorities
  • Conduct Internet research of companies, products, people, etc. in order to assist the President in decision making.
  • Work with the President to develop new or update existing company websites and ensuring they remain current.
  • Provide experienced assistance with technology.
  • Organize CEO’s interviews and presentations in a cohesive and logical way.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or a background that shows a strong interest in business.
  • A deep passion for sustainability and desire to protect the environment.
  • Ethically driven, with impeccable personal integrity, able to maintain confidentiality
  • Warm, approachable, personable, and comfortable with meeting new people and building new relationships.
  • A self-starter with high energy, confidence, and careful attention to detail.
  • Superb organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • A demonstrated ability to plan effectively, but the flexibility to handle the unexpected.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Coachable and learning-based with a dedication to self-improvement.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good physical health and ability to, on occasion, work long hours under pressure.
